Andrew entered the family business straight from school and learned on the job. He worked across many areas of the business before taking on responsibilities including business development, project management, product development and finance. Andrew describes himself as enthusiastic, positive and unflappable, and is inspired by the people in Jankel, who work with purpose and focus on delivering exceptional products to all our customers.
Pankaj PatelFinance Director
Pank has 25 years’ experience working in major blue-chip corporates and has been part of some iconic projects including the UK’s first offshore wind farm, the Palm Island in Dubai and the F1 circuit at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. Now applying his expertise and attention to detail in the SME sector, Pank is responsible for our financial, commercial, strategic and operational success.
Dan CrosbyCommercial Director
With an engineering and financial services background, Dan joined Jankel’s Sales & Marketing department 17 years ago. Since then, he has gained significant expertise in international business development, project management, product development, procurement and customer service, alongside implementing and delivering business growth strategies for Jankel companies within the global defence and security sector.
Mike MullenOperations Development Director
Mike joined Jankel in December 2007 to lead the development and growth of its engineering and production capabilities. He has acquired over 40 years’ experience of production engineering and manufacture of vehicles and sub systems for automotive OEM’s. His career has included senior management of engineering and manufacturing teams on several multi million pound projects involving, product design, manufacturing strategy, process engineering and final production. He has led in the establishment and management of a number of production facilities rapidly established to meet fast changing market requirements for niche products. Mike has worked in Europe and in the USA, at both OEM and prime contractor level, on programs for Ford, GM, Chrysler, Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Mazda, Lotus cars, Alfa Romeo, as well as several specialist vehicle manufactures.
Geoff NewmanDirector of Product Development and Product Operations
A time-served engineer with experience in a variety of industries and sizes of organisations, Geoff developed as an engineering leader, benefitting from building and developing teams and methodologies to support growing project requirements. Most recently he worked at McLaren Automotive in body system and vehicle engineering leadership positions. Geoff is committed to supporting our customers to achieve mission success and is responsible for Jankel’s ongoing innovative product development.
Sam ForemanHead of Sales and Marketing
With a background In Product Design, Sam joined the Jankel Engineering team in 2009 and worked across a number of international projects before moving into Technical Sales (Special Projects) for five years. In 2017, Sam took on the role of running the company’s sales team and, following the completion of his MBA, now looks after the global Sales and Marketing team.
Keith BalshawDirector of Human Resources
Keith worked as a lab technician in the specialist area of human heart valve prosthetics before his career moved into retail and operations management and HR. He ran his own HR consultancy and was an HR director before joining Jankel to manage the HR function. Resourceful and with a commitment to helping others to fulfil their potential, Keith’s role at Jankel involves developing and building our teams as well as managing legislative and regulatory requirements.
Andy MacFarlaneProduction Manager
Andy served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for 22 years, achieving a rank of WO1 Artificer Sergeant Major and specialising as an Aviation Engineer, primarily on the Apache attack helicopter. Andy then spent time at Jaguar Land Rover, building Range Rover Sport, Velar and F-Pace vehicles. At Jankel, Andy is responsible for the quality, materials planning and control for our workshops on current projects and for planning for and supporting future project activity.
